The Story Behind the Range
From prison grounds to Naples’ largest outdoor range
This land deep in the Everglades was once part of Barron Collier’s town of Deep Lake. In 1950 a prison was built here in Copeland, and it stood for more than 50 years before closing in 2002. Today the same property is home to Deep 50 Gun Range, where members train, compete and enjoy the Florida outdoors.
